Redirect Supply vs Active24 Webforward: Your old domain, finally on HTTPS
Active24's free Webforward sends a domain to a new address, but only over plain HTTP. Its own FAQ states that https:// requests aren't supported, so visitors arriving over HTTPS never reach the redirect. Redirect Supply issues an SSL certificate for every domain automatically, maps each old page to its new URL, and works while your domain stays registered at Active24.

Why Redirect Supply
Choose Redirect Supply for redirects that stay out of your way. Every old URL lands on the right page, every domain runs on HTTPS, and nothing breaks when your website moves.
Active24 Webforward or Redirect Supply? The short answer
Keep Active24 Webforward only if nobody will ever open your old domain through an https:// link, which today is rare.
Switch to Redirect Supply if your old domain must work over HTTPS, pages need their own new addresses, or your DNS isn't at Active24. The free plan covers your first domain, HTTPS included.
For any domain people actually visit, that makes it a Redirect Supply job.
FAQs
Questions about Active24 Webforward and Redirect Supply
Does Active24 Webforward support HTTPS?
No. Active24's FAQ states that Webforward does not support redirects for addresses starting with https://. Visitors who open your old domain over HTTPS see an error instead of your new site. Redirect Supply issues and renews an SSL certificate for every connected domain automatically.
Is Webforward a 301 or a 302 redirect?
Active24's documentation doesn't say which status code Webforward returns. Check your domain with the free redirect tester. In Redirect Supply, you choose 301 or 302 for every rule yourself.
Can Webforward redirect individual pages?
Webforward points a domain or subdomain to one target address, which can include a path, like /main. It can't send each old page to a different new URL. That takes path-level redirects, included on every Redirect Supply paid plan.
Is Webforward free?
Yes, Active24 lists it as a free domain service. Redirect Supply also has a free plan: 1 domain with a catch-all redirect, automatic HTTPS, and built-in analytics. See pricing for page-level rules and more domains.
Do I need to transfer my domain away from Active24?
No. Your domain, renewals, and invoices stay at Active24. You only change a few DNS records so Redirect Supply handles the redirects, and it works with .cz, .sk, and every other extension. See the DNS setup guide.
How do I switch from Webforward to Redirect Supply?
Add your domain in Redirect Supply and copy the records it shows. In Active24, turn off Webforward and replace the A record pointing to Active24's forwarding IP with the new records. Your redirects go live once DNS propagates.
