Static code: the content is stored in the code itself. It never expires, works offline and isn't tracked. Test-scan it before you print.

What it makes

One generator, six kinds of codes. Pick what the scan should do, then make it look like yours.

Static codes

The content lives in the code. Nothing to expire, nothing to track, no server in between.

Never expires. The code holds the content itself, so there’s no subscription that can switch it off.

Scans aren’t tracked. A scan goes straight from the phone to your content, with no server in between.

Your content stays yours. What’s inside the code is never stored, and your logo never leaves your browser.

Pro tip

Print a link you control.

Point the code at a URL on your own domain, like go.yourbrand.com/menu, and you can change where it leads anytime with a redirect, without reprinting a thing.

Before you print

Four checks that save a reprint

Four checks that save a reprint

Do it in this order:

  1. Scan it first. Test with two phones, iPhone and Android, before anything goes to print.

  2. Keep the contrast high. A dark code on a light background scans best. Light-on-dark and low-contrast colours can fail.

  3. Leave the quiet zone. The empty border around the code helps cameras find it. Don’t crop it off.

  4. Pick the right size. Download 2048px or SVG for print. SVG scales to any size without getting blurry.

FAQs

Questions about the QR code generator

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Free, and no - pick a type, fill it in, download. Nothing to sign up for.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. Everything the code needs is stored in the code itself, so it works for as long as the printed code exists. If it’s a link, the page it points to just has to stay online.

Can I change where the code goes after printing?

Not the code itself - a static code always opens the same content. But if the code points to a URL on your own domain, you can redirect that URL anywhere later. That’s exactly what Redirect Supply does.

Do you track scans?

No. Scans go straight from the phone to your content. There’s no server in between, so there’s nothing to count.

Can I add my logo?

Yes - upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. It’s placed in the middle of the code and never leaves your browser. With a logo, set error correction to High so the code still scans.

What does error correction do?

It lets a code scan even when part of it is covered or damaged. Low recovers about 7%, High about 30%. Higher means more dots, so keep it at Medium unless you add a logo or print somewhere it might get scratched.

PNG or SVG?

PNG for screens, slides and social posts. SVG for print and design tools - it scales to any size and stays sharp.

What is the quiet zone?

The empty border around the code. Scanners need it to find where the code starts. The default of 4 is the standard - don’t make it smaller.

My code doesn’t scan. What’s wrong?

Usually contrast, size or a logo that covers too much. Keep the code colour dark and the background light, print it larger, and use High error correction with a logo. Long content also makes denser codes, so shorter links scan more easily.

Do you store what I make?

Only an anonymous log when a code is downloaded or copied: the type of code, the style and colours you picked, and your country, to see how the tool is used. For links, just the domain, never the full URL. What’s inside the code, like Wi-Fi passwords, phone numbers, emails or text, is never stored. No logo files, no IP addresses, no cookies, nothing tied to you.
