Import & Export
Bring your redirects with you.
Migrate in from a spreadsheet, back up your setup, or move to another tool entirely. One CSV format handles it all.
Why it matters
Switching tools shouldn't mean rebuilding everything from scratch. If your redirects live in a spreadsheet or a legacy platform, manually re-entering each one invites mistakes and eats a day you don't have. Import & export means your setup travels with you.
How it works
Bring your redirects. Take them anytime.
Migrate in from a spreadsheet or another tool, and export your setup whenever you need to.
Tech, explained simply
One format for import and export
Most tools treat import and export as two separate problems with two different formats to learn. Redirect Supply uses exactly one: a CSV with four columns: source path, destination URL, redirect type, and notes. What you export is precisely what you can import back in.
Each row maps one old path to one new destination, with a 301 or 302 status code and an optional note for your own reference. Wildcards work the same in CSV as they do in the dashboard: /blog/* behaves identically whether you typed it by hand or uploaded it in a spreadsheet.
Starting from scratch? Download the template below, fill in your redirects, and import: no need to reverse-engineer the format from an old export.
FAQs
Everything you might ask about import & export
What file format is used for import and export?
CSV, with four columns: source path, destination URL, redirect type, and notes. The same format works both ways.
Can I migrate directly from another redirect tool?
You'll need to reformat your existing redirects into our CSV template first, then import, most spreadsheet tools make this a quick copy-paste job.
Is there a limit on how many redirects I can import at once?
No - import as many rows as you need in a single CSV.
What happens if an imported redirect conflicts with an existing one?
You'll get a prompt asking whether to keep the existing redirect or overwrite it with the new one, nothing changes without your confirmation.
Will exporting affect my live redirects?
No - export is read-only and never changes anything that's currently active.
