Hostinger DNS setup
If your domain is registered at Hostinger, connecting it to Redirect Supply means changing a few records in hPanel’s DNS zone. Your domain stays at Hostinger, and your registration and email don’t change. It takes about five minutes, plus some time for the changes to spread.
Before you start
You need two things ready before you open hPanel.
Add the domain in Redirect Supply

Add your domain in Redirect Supply first. Its settings page shows the records you’ll need, including a TXT value that’s unique to your domain. Keep that page open in another tab. This guide covers a root domain like brand.com. If you’re connecting a subdomain like go.brand.com, the DNS setup guide explains the differences.
Check your nameservers
Hostinger’s DNS zone only controls your domain when it uses Hostinger’s nameservers. You can see them under DNS / Nameservers for your domain. If they point to Cloudflare or another provider, add the records there instead. The Cloudflare DNS setup guide covers the most common case.
Open the DNS zone in hPanel
All the changes in this guide happen in one place.
Find DNS / Nameservers
Sign in to hPanel and open Domains. Select Manage next to your domain, then DNS / Nameservers in the sidebar. The DNS records tab shows a form for new records at the top and your current records below.
Records you’ll see there
Hostinger fills the zone with records for its own hosting: usually an A record on @, an AAAA record on @, and a CNAME on www. All three use names Redirect Supply needs. Not sure what else counts? The conflict table on your domain’s page in Redirect Supply lists every record that blocks the setup.
Clear the way
Hostinger has two extra things to switch off before the new records will work.
Disable Hostinger CDN
If your domain uses Hostinger CDN, turn it off completely first. Hostinger says the CDN has to be disabled before you point the root domain somewhere else with an A record.
Delete the old A, AAAA and www records
Use the search bar above the record list to find each record on @ and www, then select Delete and confirm. Don’t skip the AAAA record. Visitors on IPv6 would keep reaching the old host even after everything else is pointed to Redirect Supply.
Leave email records alone
MX records and email TXT records like SPF or DKIM keep your email working. They don’t affect redirects, so leave them exactly as they are.
Add the Redirect Supply records
You’ll add four records using the form at the top of the DNS records tab. In the Name field, enter @ for the root domain or just the prefix, and Hostinger adds your domain. Keep the default TTL.
Name | Type | Value |
|---|---|---|
www | CNAME | proxy.redirect.supply |
@ | A | 188.114.96.9 |
@ | A | 188.114.97.9 |
_cf-custom-hostname | TXT | Value from your domain’s settings page |
Add two A records for the root domain
Choose A as the type, enter @ as the name and 188.114.96.9 in Points to, then select Add Record. Add a second A record with name @ pointing to 188.114.97.9.
Add the www CNAME
Choose CNAME, enter www as the name and proxy.redirect.supply in Points to, and select Add Record.
Add the TXT record
Choose TXT, enter _cf-custom-hostname as the name, paste the value from your domain’s settings page in Redirect Supply, and select Add Record. On some less common domain endings, Redirect Supply also asks for an _acme-challenge TXT record. Add it the same way if you see it.
Check the list
Each record is saved as soon as you add it. Look over the list to make sure all four are there, and that there’s no AAAA record left on @.
Check the status in Redirect Supply
Once the records are in, you’re done in hPanel.
Check the conflict table

You don’t have to wait to find out if something’s wrong. Your domain’s page in Redirect Supply shows a conflict table with the records currently on your domain. Anything that blocks the setup, like a leftover AAAA record or an old www record, is flagged there along with what to do about it. Fix those first, and the rest is just waiting.
How long it takes
Hostinger says DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to spread fully. New records are often picked up much sooner.
When the domain goes Active

Redirect Supply checks your records automatically. When it finds them, the domain switches to Active and HTTPS is issued on its own, with no extra steps from you. See Domain statuses for what each status means along the way.
Hostinger-specific issues
Most problems on Hostinger come from hosting features that are still attached to the domain.
Some visitors still see the old website
An AAAA record is still on @, so visitors on IPv6 reach the old host. Delete it and check again after the TTL runs out.
The root domain won’t point away
Hostinger CDN is probably still on. Disable it fully, then edit the records again.
Records can’t be changed here
Your domain uses nameservers somewhere else, so Hostinger’s DNS zone isn’t in use. Add the records with the provider your nameservers point to.
The domain is stuck on Pending
Open the conflict table on your domain’s page in Redirect Supply. It shows which record is blocking the setup, usually a leftover A, AAAA or www record. Remove what it flags and wait a few minutes. Record conflicts covers the common cases.
