Czechia.com DNS setup

If your domain is registered at Czechia.com, connecting it to Redirect Supply means changing a few records in the DNS manažer. Your domain stays at Czechia.com, and your registration and email don’t change. It takes about five minutes. There’s one Czechia-specific step at the end: your changes only go live after you transfer them.

Before you start

You need two things ready before you open Czechia.com.

Add the domain in Redirect Supply

DNS records shown for a domain in Redirect Supply

Add your domain in Redirect Supply first. Its settings page shows the records you’ll need, including a TXT value that’s unique to your domain. Keep that page open in another tab. This guide covers a root domain like brand.cz. If you’re connecting a subdomain like go.brand.cz, the DNS setup guide explains the differences.

Check that Czechia.com runs your DNS

Records in the DNS manažer only count when your domain uses Czechia.com’s nameservers. If your domain points to Cloudflare or another provider, add the records there instead. The Cloudflare DNS setup guide covers the most common case.

Open the DNS manažer

All the changes in this guide happen on one tab.

Find the DNS manažer

Sign in to the Centrum administrace at admin.czechia.com. In Seznam služeb, select your domain, then open the DNS manažer tab in the top menu. You’ll see every record on the domain, with fields named Jméno (name), Cíl (target) and TTL.

Records you’ll see there

If the domain was connected to Czechia.com hosting, it already has an A record on @ and a record for www pointing to the hosting server. Those use the names Redirect Supply needs. Not sure what else counts? The conflict table on your domain’s page in Redirect Supply lists every record that blocks the setup.

Clear the way

Before adding anything, remove what’s already pointing your domain elsewhere.

Remove old @ and www records

Delete the A records on @ and any record on www. Remove any AAAA record on @ too, or visitors on IPv6 will keep reaching the old server.

Mind the CNAME rules

Czechia.com follows the DNS rules strictly: a CNAME can’t sit on @, and it can’t share a name with any other record. That’s why www has to be completely empty before you add its CNAME.

Leave email records alone

MX records and email TXT records like SPF or DKIM keep your email working. They don’t affect redirects, so leave them exactly as they are.

Add the Redirect Supply records

You’ll add four records. In Jméno, enter @ for the root domain, because the field can’t be left empty. For anything else, enter only the prefix. Keep the usual TTL of 3600 seconds.

Note: Keep the dot at the end of the CNAME, then select Přenést změny to publish.

Add two A records for the root domain

Add an A record with Jméno @ and Cíl 188.114.96.9, and confirm. Add a second A record for @ with Cíl 188.114.97.9.

Add the www CNAME

Add a CNAME record with Jméno www and Cíl proxy.redirect.supply., with a dot at the end. Without the dot, Czechia.com won’t save the record.

Add the TXT record

Add a TXT record with Jméno _cf-custom-hostname and paste the value from your domain’s settings page in Redirect Supply into the TEXT field, with no dot at the end. On some less common domain endings, Redirect Supply also asks for an _acme-challenge TXT record. Add it the same way if you see it. This rarely happens with .cz domains.

Transfer the changes

If automatic transfer is off, your records aren’t live yet. Select the orange Přenést změny button at the top, confirm with ANO, and wait until the status shows je aktuální.

Check the status in Redirect Supply

Once the changes are transferred, you’re done in Czechia.com.

Check the conflict table

You don’t have to wait to find out if something’s wrong. Your domain’s page in Redirect Supply shows a conflict table with the records currently on your domain. Anything that blocks the setup, like an old hosting record or a leftover www record, is flagged there along with what to do about it. Fix those first, and the rest is just waiting.

How long it takes

New records are usually picked up within a few hours. Czechia.com says DNS changes can take up to about 24 hours to spread fully.

When the domain goes Active

Redirect Supply checks your records automatically. When it finds them, the domain switches to Active and HTTPS is issued on its own, with no extra steps from you. See Domain statuses for what each status means along the way.

Czechia.com-specific issues

Most problems on Czechia.com come from untransferred changes or the CNAME format.

Nothing changed after adding the records

The changes weren’t transferred. Select Přenést změny, confirm with ANO, and wait for je aktuální.

The CNAME won’t save

The target is missing its dot at the end, or another record still sits on www. Enter proxy.redirect.supply. and delete anything else on www.

Records have no effect

Your domain uses nameservers outside Czechia.com. Add the records with the provider your nameservers point to.

The domain is stuck on Pending

Open the conflict table on your domain’s page in Redirect Supply. It shows which record is blocking the setup, usually an old hosting record or an old www record. Remove what it flags, transfer the changes, and wait. Record conflicts covers the common cases.
