Extension Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

K-COMBO s.r.o. (“Redirect Supply,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes the Redirect Checker by Redirect Supply browser extension (the “Extension”). We are registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in České Budějovice, file no. C 29936/KSCB, with our registered office at Okružní 709, České Budějovice 4, 370 01 České Budějovice, Czech Republic, VAT ID CZ09264396.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), K-COMBO s.r.o. is the data controller for the limited data described in this policy. The short version: the redirect data the Extension shows you never leaves your browser, and the only thing we receive is an anonymous count of how many browsers use the Extension.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies only to the Extension for Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. Our website, the Redirect Supply platform, and the online Redirect Tester at redirect.supply are covered by our general Privacy Policy at redirect.supply/legal/privacy.

3. What happens to your browsing data

To show you redirects, the Extension observes the network requests your browser makes when it loads the main page in a tab: the URL of each step in the redirect chain, its HTTP status code and status text, response headers, the server IP address, timing, and whether the response came from cache. It also notices when a page sends you on with a JavaScript or meta-refresh redirect. Cookie headers (Set-Cookie) are discarded and never stored. All of this is processed locally on your device and kept in your browser’s temporary session storage, limited to the last few page loads per tab. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. The Extension does not read or change the content of the pages you visit; it only displays its own panel on top of the page when you click its icon.

4. Anonymous usage counts

So we know how many people use the Extension, it sends a small signal to our server: once per day when you use the browser (“active”), once when it is installed, and once when it is uninstalled (Chrome opens a page on our server, which records the uninstall and forwards you to redirect.supply). Each signal contains only the event type, the Extension version, and the browser family (Chrome, Edge or Opera). It contains no user ID, no device ID, no cookies, and no URLs or other browsing data. We add the signals up into daily totals and do not keep individual events. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how widely the Extension is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes, and no humans read your browsing data because we never receive it. To receive the anonymous usage counts we rely on Vercel Inc. (hosting of the endpoint that receives the signals) and Google LLC (Google Sheets, where the daily totals are stored). The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. When you open a full report or share a link

If you click “View Full report”, or copy a link to the full report and share it, the starting URL of the redirect chain is placed in the link to our online Redirect Tester. Opening that link sends the URL to redirect.supply, which traces it from our servers. From that point our general Privacy Policy applies. Nothing is sent unless you click. Copying the chain as text only places it on your clipboard.

7. How long data is kept

Redirect data in the Extension is deleted when you close the tab or quit the browser, and older page loads in a tab are replaced as you keep browsing. Your settings (theme and toolbar icon colour) and the date of the last daily signal stay in your browser until you uninstall the Extension. The anonymous daily totals contain no personal data and are kept for as long as we offer the Extension. Our hosting provider receives your IP address as part of any internet request and may keep it in short-lived technical logs; we do not store it with the counts or use it to identify you.

8. Your rights

Because the Extension does not send us your browsing data and the usage counts cannot be linked to you, we generally hold no personal data about you through the Extension. You can remove all locally stored Extension data at any time by uninstalling it. Under the GDPR you still have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.cz) or your local supervisory authority. 9. Permissions the Extension uses

webRequest and access to all websites: to see the redirects and status codes of the pages you load. webNavigation: to detect JavaScript and meta-refresh redirects and to know which page a tab is showing. scripting: to display the Extension’s panel on the current page when you click its icon. storage: to keep redirect data for open tabs and your settings in your browser. The Extension sets no cookies and contains no advertising or third-party tracking code.

10. Security

Redirect data is processed only inside your browser. The usage signals are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The Extension’s code is packaged and reviewed through the Chrome Web Store, and it does not load or run remote code.

11. Children’s privacy

The Extension is a tool for website owners, marketers and developers and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects what data leaves your browser, we will update this page before releasing that version of the Extension.
